This post has some links and videos for swapping engines in the Cruze:

Well, my cruze blew again - Replaced it with a Q7, now I'm going to figure out the LE2 swap or I might look into using the 2.0 from a Buick GS. The lowest on my list would be a LUV and tune it myself to be reliable. I'm not looking to race anybody or be any sort of fast, that's what the street rod is for. I have HPtuners and am familiar with tuning FI motors, so PCM swaps and custom "calibrations" aren't a problem. I'm open to suggestions, but my biggest concern is figuring out the physical mounting differences

Thanks for the heads up on that thread. The 1.4l let go a couple of weeks ago, so the urgency on this has increased quite a bit.
You're Welcome.

Do u know how to tell between luj and luv?
Doesn't matter.

The LUJ and LUV are identical engines. Initially, General Motors planned to release an E85 capable version of the LUJ, therein changing the RPO code to LUV. However, the LUV was never calibrated to use E85, and is therefore not E85 capable.

If you feel the need to add e85 capability...

MY 2015 1.4 LUV ENGINE BLEW. WOULD THE NEW 16+ 1.4L LUV WORK AS WELL? FOR SOME REASON THE ENGINES FOR THE 2015 ARE TWICE AS MUCH.
