I'm new here and just wanted to say hi. I have been reading many posts and have found them to be so informative. I own a 2012 LTZ RS and I absolutely love it. I have yet to do much in the mods department but I hoping to get it started soon. I like to do what I call "Simulated Stock". I like to keep the car looking stock but doing little things here and there to make it look a little different. Basically, I want the average Cruze owner (not us "Cruzers") to look at my car and think that it came from the factory that way yet it looks different from their own Cruze. If that makes any sense. I am also looking for fellow members with the same mind set on customizing but have yet to find anyone:sad:. Check out my album and please let me know what you think. Just keep in mind that I really have yet to do anything and I have more planned once the funds start coming in. Thanks.

Welcome to CruzeTalk. I actually had a dealership manager ask me if my VG Sharkfin was stock or after market and how well it worked. Simulated stock also allows you to do things like small amounts of chrome on fog lamps, changing the bowtie to black (white or silver car), etc. There are other changes you can make that really aren't visible. For instance I added a GM spare tire to my ECO MT and the Camaro Bluetooth PDIM to my stereo. Neither of these are "available" from the factory but both definitely enhanced my car.

Thanks. I was thinking about the VG Shark Fin as one of my mods. I also would like to keep the factory radio but maybe upgrade the speakers and add a small amp. I have a whole wish list of things to do yet. lol. Its all in the details. Sometimes less is more.

Totally agree. At this point in my life, I don't want my car to scream: LOOK AT ME! But I want to have certain modifications that add value and usability to me. Some of these add some uniqueness to the car, some of them not. -- Anyways, welcome from another newb! Enjoy the Cruze.

Awesome! Somebody else with that mindset. Just because they make something that fits your car, does not mean it has to go on your car. I have read on here so many people who dislike all the factory chrome found on the LTZ but I find that it adds to the beauty of the car. Just like yourself, alpha19er, as I got older my mods have changed for my cars. When I was younger I had the high spoiler, loud sound system and loud exhaust. Now, I go for a more modest approach. LOL.

Welcome to CT! Post some pictures when you get a chance.
