Here are the two manuals:

2014: http://www.chevrolet.com/content/da.../nscwebsite/en/Home/Ownership/Manuals and Videos/02_pdf/2k14cruze 2nd print.pdf

2015: http://www.chevrolet.com/content/da...ebsite/en/Home/Ownership/Manuals and Videos/02_pdf/2015-cruze-owners-manual.pdf

A few of differences I came across:

- For normal service, the interval for both brake fluid and clutch fluid service has been reduced from every 150,000 miles to every 45,000 miles.
- For all service conditions, the interval for both brake fluid and clutch fluid service has been reduced from "or every 10 years" to "or every 3 years," whichever comes first.
- For severe service, the interval for brake fluid has been increased from every 30,000 miles to every 45,000 miles.
- GM now recommends a 0W-40 oil for the Cruze Diesel in extreme cold.
- The following line has been removed from the recommended fluids section: "ACDelco dexos1 Synthetic Blend is recommended."
- The following line has been removed from the recommended fluids section: "dexos2 is designed for use with light-duty diesel engines"
- The cooling system capacity for the Cruze Diesel has been increased from 8.2 quarts to 8.8 quarts.
- The following line has been removed from the vehicle care engine oil section: "Do not use other viscosity grade oils such as SAE 10W-30, 10W-40, or 20W-50."
- In the vehicle care engine oil section, GM now recommends an 0W-30 for extreme cold weather operation. In the 2014 manual, they recommended 0W-20.

The sad part is GM updates these every year, yet the dealers seem to not have a clue. I get my oil changed at the dealer you would think they would at least ask, "hey your air filter needs to be changed based on the GM recommended maintenance schedule". Instead it seems some dealers come up with their own so called service intervals.

I'm over on the brake fluid change, probably will wait until I need to get new front brakes in 20-30K. Already got to pony up for my leaking trans cooler line/trans fluid change + new tires in the next month.

Recently purchased a five quart bottle of Mobil one, couldn't find 10W-30 anywhere, but found 0W-30, said meets all the GM specifications for 10W-30 with the dexos label on it.

In theory anyway, a lower viscosity oil does a better job of lubricating. And may even gain me, 0.01 mpg more.

Completely drained out all the brake fluid from my 2012 2LT with 32K miles on it. Was really quite dirty, but this is after my dealer played with the brakes. So really don't know if he filled it with some left over junk or if this is natural. But its clean now.

BMW recommends a complete brake fluid flush every year.

Not really a bad job if I can only find a means to operate the ABS pump. But maybe won't have to if I were to change the calipers myself. Always use a stick to hold down the brake pedal so it doesn't leak dry. Then while bleeding, pour in fresh while bleeding out the old until it comes out nice and clean.

The brake & clutch fluids are in the same reservior. Prior to the 2015 manual they had different change intervals for both miles and years which is obviously impossible.
