Anybody have any idea how well or not, the new 2015's are selling?

Granted, the 2015's are still just arriving at dealerships and some dealerships don't even have any 2015's to sell yet, but I was just curious about how many 2015's have actually been sold at this point? Anybody have this information or know where it can be found at?

Truthfully, at this point I'm just ready for the next gen Cruze to arrive and see what that's gonna look like and bring to the table.

I've seen a grand total of ONE. They apparently aren't available in the south Denver market yet.

One of my local dealers has a 2015 Silver Ice Metallic 2LT but they haven't listed it yet on their website. It's been there for a couple months at this point I think. I took some pictures of it awhile back with my phone but never put them up on here.

The only reason I found it was because I was actually searching the lot to see if they had a 2015 yet and they happened to have it parked way off in their back lot in the corner. I think they were/are trying to hide it from the public. I'm also sure they want to get rid of their 2014 Cruzes before they go letting the local population around here know that their are 2015's out and available for purchase from them, lol!

Of course Cruze enthusiast like us would know, but most people who buy a compact sedan like the Cruze don't really give a ****, haha! Although I'm not the biggest fan of the Cruze's redesign, I will admit that it looks better in person but only when it's the RS trim fascia. I'm not sure I see the 2015 Cruze selling in high numbers.

If we look at the last quarter of sales for North america including Canadian sales . we should be able to speculate that a given percentage of those sales were the 2015 MY Models .. U.S. sales Topped 60.000 Units for the 4 th quarter ..

also we know that GM was heavily offering incentives to prospective buyers in order to get the last of the 2014 MY cruzens off of the Dealers Lots ..

Hay there is a concensus that the 2015 is F, Ugly But IT is a Cruzen !

We had fun for 4 years ..Bring in the New , with less problems ...............

Factory released sales numbers usually aren't broken down by model year, only calendar month and calendar year.

This availability question got me curious so I looked at online inventories of Chevrolet dealerships in the Philadelphia region and the ratio of new 2014s to 2015s was about 3 to 2. A notable exception was one of the dealers in Philadelphia which had 60 of 61 Cruzes being 2015s.

I saw 1 on the interstate driving to MN a few months back, and 1 locally... and then while traveling across a lot of different states I saw a grand total of 2.

When I was at the Chevy dealer in Phoenix there were a bunch of people test driving Cruzes, and someone appeared to be buying one, but none of them were '15s that I saw.

I have seen a couple. My dealer only has 2015s now. The first thing I noticed is that there was a price increase. The same 1LT with sunroof that I have is over $1K more. And, you must now also buy the driver's convenience package to get the sunroof. Glad I bought the 2014 when it was available. I like Chevy's, but that much of an increase, and no incentives, would have made me look at other brands as well.

I haven't seen any at all here, still seeing 2014's with that new rebate program they are doing on them, they are still both sitting there collecting dust.

Took a trip to my local Chevy dealership after work today to see what 2015's Cruzes, if any, they had on the lot.

They had a 2015 LS and a 2015 1LT which I already knew were there by looking on their website last night. The 1LT was that new Siren Red Tintcoat color and me wanting to see it in person was my motive for going.

However, to my surprise they also had like six 2015 LTZ's on the back lot as well. All but one of these six LTZ's aren't yet being advertised on the dealership's website and they all still had their interior and exterior protective plastics on. I'm wondering if all these LTZ's are already spoken for? Because if not, I find it odd that this dealership would order all these top trim level 2015's when they have seven 2014 diesel Cruzes that just sit there collecting dust as well as six other 2014 Cruze trims that haven't sold yet.

Despite having similar higher level Cruze prices, the LTZ and Diesel are different animals. The overall audience for a gas engine Cruze is much greater than for a diesel.

It would be odder if they had several leftover 2014 LTZs sitting around collecting dust and were bringing in even more 2015 LTZs for inventory. Perhaps some or all of these LTZs are spoken for, perhaps they are just trying to stock trim levels they don’t have, there are a few possibilities.

Watch the local papers and TV ads for sales by that dealership. Toledo always has a local auto show about two weekends after the NAIAS in Detroit for all of the local car dealers. They tend to bulk up the inventory a bit and advertise the crap out of themselves for the event. One of the dealers was advertising Cruzen for $99/month last week. Of course there was probably two of those that qualified for that deal on the lot, but plenty more to choose from (at a slightly higher price).

Diesel is better in every way.
Every way?? It really depends on the type and amount of driving you do. One of the main reason shoppers will look at a CTD is for fuel cost savings but when they crunch the numbers, most are likely to find that a diesel Cruze will cost them more in fuel than a gas engine model. That's not "better."

When a CTD is priced out against a comparable 2LT, shoppers will likely find that the purchase price of the CTD is about $1,800 higher. That's not "better."

Is the CTD better in some ways? Of course but certainly not in "every way."

My wife doesn't get what the diesel does and how it's different, she could care less. She knows she has to put diesel in it and I take care of everything else that is different. Now if you were to ask her she would swear it has a V6 under the hood ( yes, that has happened). The CTD is different and the numbers don't explain why nearly as well as sitting behind the wheel does. $1800 is a bargain for what you get.

I have a 15 F350 diesel work truck, love it and it's an absolute beast, my old V10 F250 is much funnier to drive because of the instant torque. Yes it's sucks gas, (11 mpg) but the torque is instant and it's just fun to mash that pedal. The CTD is the same way, mash the pedal and you get a smile on your face every time.
