My new 2014 Cruze ECO FINALLY arrived at the dealership today. I will be able to take possession of it Friday or Monday.

However. ... as I did a walk around this evening I noticed the ECO BADGE is missing. So now I need the assistance of other 2014 ECO, regular gas type engine, owner's. Do the 2014 ECO's have the badge? Thw dealership has no clue. I know the diesel has it. I was told that MAYBE it was discontinued on the 14 gas. I DOUGHT IT!!!!

So another question for the customer service reps on here (you guys rock by the way) is it normal for a special order vehicle to be delivered with 24 miles on the clock???? It looks like someone lived in it for a few days.

Does the shifter have the Green circle behind the 6 on the shifter (if man trans)? Maybe they heard us complaining about Eco gas and diesel not easy to spot with the badges being identical. I still have mine "somewhere" if you just want it. Kinda random with miles unless they let someone local test it so they too can order one since Eco manuals don't leave the lot that fast. My 1st brand new car from Dodge back in 02 came with 35 miles by the time my family received it(I ordered it from AAFES over seas car dealer in Korea) and it was missing trim specific items like the spoiler.

Yeah its a M6. And does have the green area on the number 6. No one drove it today. I assume that it was Quality Control driven. Being this is a replacement vehicle.......
It spent a few days in the QC shop before it was bayed for shipping. It appears that they overlooked something. Good job boys.

Sounds like yet another instance of GM dealership not knowing anything about their products!

Geez this sort of "dumbness" is getting rampant--dealerships should NOT be selling things they don't KNOW about and thus probably don't KNOW how to service, maintain, or repair!

Lol the average person buying a car barely care about the details. Options, colors, trans(auto) and finance is usually what they go for. Little things like the dome light and 6 speeds on the hvac controls will go unknown. Took this forum to figure out I had to get a convince package to cover up that hole in the trunk.

Yeah, when I ordered it, I had to school them up on the ECO. Even though they have them from time to time, they had NO idea about them. They had NO idea about the Sonic being offered in turbo either. They did not know the 1.4L was a TURBO. If my job was to sell cars, or trucks, I would be a GO TO GUY. How can you sell something that you have NO clue on the specs??? I would expect this from the USED CAR side of the house.

And that's why I ordered the convince package...... THANK YOU FORUM MEMBERS!!!

I picked up my 14 Eco yesterday and no Eco badge in mine either. It's just one less thing I have to take off this weekend! The other surprise I found out today about the 14 is there's no front aero panel. Just a mid. So there is a few differences between the '12 I traded in for the '14. It honestly feels a bit better accelerating but it could be in my head. Maybe it is from not being broken in yet but it feel more power in gears 1-3 and it feels like 4-6 are just a bit taller. I do hear the engine more now than I did and it still has the intake resonator which I removed in the 12. Besides that and the Eco menu, hvac controls and mylink it's very familiar. Oh and it did come with the cover for the spare tire indent in the trunk.

Ok, school me up on the front aero. Are you referring to the "lip" that hangs off the front bumper?? If so, mine is in the trunk, wrapped in plastic ready for install. I noticed this on the 13 ECO I drove as a loaner as well. if that's NOT what it is.... then what is it???

Well, I have NO IDEA. BUT I would like to know. I am going to PM him and request pics, or a better explanation. The part I am talking about, gmpartsdiredt, com refers to it as "Lower deflector W/ECO". And that part was uninstalled, and in the trunk for shipping purposes.

Yeah, I have emails out to both my local GM District rep, as well as the South East Regional Factory rep (great guys by the way). I sent them pics and part numbers. I looked at other '14 ECO's on a ton of other Chevrolet Dealer sites, and they all had the emblem. It does not matter if I take it off later down the road or not, bottom line is, I PAID FOR IT. Maybe only a few bucks, but everything is added into the price. And where is the Quality Control????????????

I'm referring to the panel that got hacked up with the recall on older eco models. It was a panel to increase aerodynamics under the engine bay. I noticed it when I popped the hood and saw a whole lot of pavement. I checked the sticker and it only lists a mid body aero panel now.

The engine shield is a common part between all Cruzen. The underbody aero panels listed on the sticker attach to the bottom of the car in the middle and are an additional aerodynamic feature not found in non-Eco Cruzen.

Still weird that yours is missing the Eco badge.

Hello zerogravity

Thanks so much for the compliment! If you send me your VIN I can definitely look into this missing ECO badge issue for you. Also it is totally normal for there to be a few miles on a vehicle when you take delivery. Quality control does take it around a test track after production just to make sure that everything is working properly. Thanks for sharing the pictures of your Cruze. Please send me a message if you have any questions.

I hope he isn't saying the engine cover is completely gone. On a cut sheild if you pop the hood and look down, you see gound. Is that how you verified it is completely gone?
Yeah, he is correct..... no longer standard equipment on the '14 model year. And the window sticker only list the mid one....... Might have to search for the thread that talked about the Buick part that fits, and is "factory corrected". I stopped by the dealer to check on mine, and sure enough, you could see the ground under the front of the car. and the sides, back etc...

There should also be an underbody aero panel ahead of the rear wheels, in addition to the mid panels. At least that is what is on my 2011 ECO.

Well since they have no knowledge of the product they are selling. You might as well tell them that the spare tire depression in the trunk is supposed to be full of $100 bills and see how that goes.
