Hello fellow Cruzers... Newbie here, just joined the Cruze Talk forums seeking advice/assistance with an issue I'm having.

So yesterday morning (Saturday), I went to the car wash and gave my car a bit of TLC since it was in the shop for 3 weeks due to the recent recall, and had just gotten it back the night before (Friday). After the car wash I drove to the gym. I had my iPhone plugged into the USB, enjoying my own music. As I was waiting at a stop light to turn left, the radio suddenly turned off and the screen went black. At first I thought my car had turned off completely because I couldn't hear my blinker anymore, but then I noticed it was still blinking and the car was still idling, I just couldn't hear the blinker... I pushed the power button to the radio to turn it back on but nothing happened. I thought about turning the car off and turning it back on (I have the push button start), but I was afraid if I turned it off it wouldn't turn back on and I'd be stuck at the light. Anyway, I waited a few seconds and tried the power button again and the radio came back on, did it's start up thing and started playing my regular FM stations. Meanwhile the blinker started making the blinking sound again as well. I brushed it off thinking it was a one-time glitch. Well as I was driving today (Sunday), it happened a few times again, but I noticed it would happen every time I rolled the window up or down. Considering all the malfunctions seem to be electrical (I'm not too mechanically car-savvy), I thought maybe it had something to do with wiring or the fuses?

Has anyone else had this problem? I have warranty on it, but I don't want to make a big deal and take it to the dealer after just getting it back, if it's something simple that's a quick fix. Any knowledge or experience on this topic would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Justin

That is odd. If you can make it happen "on command", I would definitely take it back in and show them. Hopefully you will be lucky enough that it is just a loose connection somewhere and it is a quick 10 minute fix. Good luck.

Which recall? If it was an airbag recall it is very possible a connection is loose.

Ok, update: the radio is still having the same issue every now and again. Also, now I'm having issues with the power steering. Last night I was reversing from a parking space and the power steering went out, and a message displayed saying "service stabilitrak soon". The PS came back on after a few seconds and the message disappeared. I scheduled an appt for Monday morning, so we'll see what they say about these issues.

Hey Justin! Please be sure to keep us posted on your dealership visit on Monday. We suggest monitoring your vehicle for any conditions that cause the power steering or StabiliTrak message to appear, as this may help the dealership to recreate the issue and make the necessary corrections. If you're interested in sending us your VIN and contact information we can file your concerns within our database as well.

Thanks,
Amber N.
