Where do I screw in the screw? It talks about the middle hole for the check valve.
What And how did you get the screw into that hole?
So I just finished hooking this up an hour ago and my problem is still there. The car still smokes and throws cels. I did the v2 kit. Is there something else I need to look into? I let the car run fur a good 20 minutes letting it burn whatever oil there was in the system out.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I assume you figured out the screw and epoxy?

Read this thread and inspect the other components:

Get a compression test done next. If after that you're still burning oil, I'd guess turbo is gone.

Its a lot of oil getting sent through. And I have minimal side to side shaft play on the turbo.
Make sure the other PCV components are good then and you don't have a cracked piston. High oil consumption for long periods of time have been known to cause cracked pistons on these cars. The deposits built up around ring lands and you get pre-ignition, similar to LSPI on direct injected engines.

Alright, what's good compression numbers? The car had 73k miles.
Actual numbers aren't important, they just have to be consistent across all of them, but generally over 150psi is good.

So my numbers are 180, 180, 75, 110........
That 75 and 110 suggest you have one, possibly two bad pistons.

How long have you been burning oil for? Or rather how long has that check valve been missing for?

Hey man I might have asked this before sorry, but I’m getting a little bit of oil in my throttle body tube and my air cleaner tube. I have the bnr spacer which I have one line for my boost gauge installed. I still have the nipple but what’s causing the oil

Just bought a kit and ordered a valve cover and thought I would throw my info into the mix. We bought a 2014 1.4L cruze LT with 32k on the odometer. My wife has noticed intermittent rough idle (no MIL) over the last month or so and I started looking into it. The car has about 58k on it now. Discovered this thread today and did the pcv system diagnostics on each part. Sure enough, whistling valve cover pcv valve and missing orange dot on the intake manifold. The tube and check valve are ok. There has been not really an oil leak, but a persistent sheen of oil with a couple hanging droplets on the oil pan at each oil change - I never figured out the likely source until finding this forum. It is nice when you can find such capable help.

Technically we’re still under the powertrain warranty but I can’t stand the idea of the dealership putting the same junk back on the car that causes these issues. I’d rather spend $150 plus my time and hopefully improve the car for reliability’s sake.

I just ordered one of your kits through you paypal link. I tried to get the dealer to fix my check valve but they are refusing since it isn't throwing a code.

Another happy customer. Kit is installed and working perfect. Also through in a boost ggage while i had it apart and since the throttle body spacer has the extra hole for it anyway. Thanks

Has anyone ordered one of these kits and taken to their mechanic for installation? I just bought a used 2012 LT. My non-dealership mechanic looked over the car before I bought it and the only thing he saw was the compressor going out and a bit of a coolant leak which looked like it was likely just a fitting that needed to be replaced.

Took the car to the dealership today for an oil change and full inspection, and they said I have coolant leak at turbo cooler lines and slight oil seepage out of intake piping, possible valve cover pcv valve issue.

Rather than having my mechanic just change out the valve cover, sounds like I should ask him about this kit install at the same time.

I had a mechanic call me on Friday or Saturday asking me for additional details on the installation. His boss had bought the kit to install on a car. He had no problems installing it and it solved the car's issue. If you do order the kit and bring it to your mechanic, be sure to print out the instructions for them as well.

Awesome. I just printed them out and I'm going to swing by the shop in the morning and talk to him about the install. I'll have him double check the valve cover and make sure I really need a new one as well, or if the dealer was just making an assumption based on the seeping around the gasket.

My mechanic loves the idea of fixing the root problem, rather than continuing to address symptoms. He was more comfortable with the V1 kit, and liked the idea of being able to inspect the valve easily if needed. Just placed my V1 kit order and getting ready to order the throttle body spacer. I'll come back and let everyone know how it goes.

The kit is installed. I'll check in periodically and let everyone know how it goes. So far so good, though I'm looking into making a few other adjustments after digging through the site more (like the spark plug gaps, and possibly plugs themselves).

For anyone who placed an order in the past 5 days, I'm a little backed up on getting these shipped out due to a supplier issue. Waiting on some brass fittings to arrive and apparently the person who was supposed to get my order shipped last week was on vacation for the 4th. I'll have those orders shipped out Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Thanks for your patience.
